310. Electron Interaction with Matter

Description

This Physics Factsheet looks at the quantum structure of atoms, with particular reference to the simplest atom, hydrogen. It then considers how electrons interact with the atom causing excitation and/or ionisation and applies it to explain the working of the fluorescent tube.
