439. The Impacts of COVID-19 on Cornwall

Description

This Geo Factsheet explores the complex impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the county of Cornwall as people surged to the county both to live or for tourism. It details the impact the pandemic has had on the environment and employment in fishing, farming and tourism and explains how this has exacerbated the already high poverty levels of many local people. Whilst there are parallels in many other rural counties, Cornwall could be regarded as an extreme case.
