In Writing Energetics - For Those Who Aren't!, Mr. Brockington has drawn on many years of teaching experience to produce a book which addresses the real needs of students and which will appeal to them personally. Whilst providing a guide to all types of energetics calculations, it concentrates on the construction of enthalpy cycles and diagrams and the application to them of Hess's law. There are many worked examples, and nearly 50 supplementary questions with outline answers. In addition, there are warnings about some common pitfalls, and the reader's attention is drawn to some of the more off-beat questions that examiners are fond of asking. The overall aim is to help students gain a full understanding of this topic and to provide them with sufficient practice to work rapidly and accurately in an examination.
