242. Heterosexism in Psychology

Description

This Psychology Factsheet will provide an overview of heterosexism in psychology. The Factsheet includes Exam Hints and the worksheet gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned to exam-style questions. Words in bold are explained in the glossary and a reference list is included at the end.

The examiner will expect you to be able to:
Understand what heterosexism is, why it has occurred, and why it is an issue for psychology.
Be able to demonstrate heterosexism by referring to examples of research.
Explain the current status of heterosexism in psychology.
Evaluate the issue of heterosexism.
