Description

Any Physics course contains a lot of mechanics – everyone learns about force, acceleration, momentum and impulse, but at this level there is not a great deal about rotation. This is a bit of a shame, since the ideas needed to understand them are not really any more difficult than those of linear mechanics, and indeed very similar. Spinning objects are also much easier to do experiments with than accelerating objects, since they stay roughly where they are rather than ending up on the other side of the lab!
