This Environmental Science Factsheet focuses on the energy efficiency of our homes. It explains why most of our homes are not energy-efficient and outlines ways by which we can retrospectively make our homes much more energy-efficient through retrofitting. Additionally, it explains how passive designs and systems can make new homes much more energy-efficient. The Factsheet also describes some of the energy-efficiency features that are being incorporated into new homes. In its analysis, the document delves into the growing number of exam questions on this topic and identifies the most common mistakes seen in exams.
