415. ‘Switched-Off’ from Globalisation: Cuba – A Case Study

Description

This Geo Factsheet explores how Cuba has been cut off from many aspects of globalisation (switched off) largely for political reasons.

It assesses the advantages and disadvantages of this state of affairs, for example, the semi-pristine nature of the environment against the economic hardships experienced by Cuba. It concludes with an analysis of the current position in Cuba.
