Description

MR Scanners and CT Scanners are modern devices used in the diagnosis of illnesses. They are non-invasive and do not involve ionising radiations, and so have advantages over traditional X-rays, but obviously also have disadvantages. This Physics Factsheet looks at the application of the devices, these advantages and disadvantages and outlines the physics involved.
