Description

Modern specifications place considerable emphasis on practical competence and test it by a required series of experiments and/or questions on the exam papers to do with practical techniques.

This Physics Factsheet aims to develop practical competence by considering the techniques required for the measurement of Young's Modulus of a Metal. It concentrates on techniques for measuring lengths and the precision which various methods achieve.
