414. Water Supply: Day Zero Cities

Description

After a review of current issues about the quality and quantity of the global water supply which are leading to the increasing occurrence of water insecurity, this Geo Factsheet explores Day Zero Cities.

It looks at case studies in Cape Town where the concept was first developed as well as Chennai and Sao Paulo. In all three cases, demand has exceeded supply, and this has required a series of short- and long-term management policies.
