323. Understanding Gases

Description

To succeed in this topic, you need to:

  • Be familiar with the arrangement of particles in the gaseous phase.
  • Be familiar that physical conditions such as volume, temperature and pressure affect the motion of gaseous particles.
  • Be familiar that intermolecular forces can act between simple molecules.

After working through this Chemistry Factsheet, you will:

  • Be able to discusses how the properties of gases can be predicted and link to the gas laws.
