250. Theoretical Perspectives on Globalisation

Description

This Sociology Factsheet will look at theoretical perspectives on globalisation, explore the different types of globalisation, analyse three theoretical perspectives with examples and case studies. The Factsheet includes Exam Hints to help you to use your knowledge to gain maximum marks, while the activities give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned and will help you develop your skills in this area.

The examiner will expect you to be able to:

  • Demonstrate your understanding of what globalisation is, and the different types of globalisation.
  • Demonstrate your understanding of different theoretical perspectives on globalisation.
  • Critically evaluate the different theoretical perspectives on globalisation.
  • Be confident in incorporating contemporary examples and case studies in an exam response.
