155. The Contribution of Marxism to our Understanding of Society

Description

This Sociology Factsheet will assess the contribution of Marxist sociologists to our understanding of society by examining three main areas:
• What is Marxism – how does it work as a belief system and a sociological perspective?
• What sort of areas have Marxist sociologists contributed to in terms of important research?
• How important and useful have these contributions been? Have they withstood criticism and analysis by other perspectives?
