Description

To succeed in this topic, you need to:
Be familiar with the general rules of working in the laboratory and handling chemical (hazardous) substances.
• Be familiar with personal protection equipment (PPE) and the purposes for PPE.

After working through this Chemistry Factsheet, you will:
Be aware of planning practical activities that address the equipment, apparatus and chemical substances to be used in terms of completing the activity safely.
• Be aware of the different types of hazardous substances and how to identify or apply hazard warning labels to substances being handled.
