187. Misconceptions

Description

In everyday language, words are sometimes used with fairly loose meanings, but in physics this approach would lead to misunderstandings, so it is important that words are used precisely and ideas are clearly defined. Marks are often lost at A Level through lack of clarity or confusion between two or more ideas. This Physics Factsheet aims to clarify some of the more commonly confused ideas.
