193. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Description

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is one of the AQA close study products (CSPs) that needs to be studied as one example of a gaming product. You could be assessed on your knowledge of the game in AQA Paper 2. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is an in-depth CSP and so needs to be studied using all areas of the theoretical framework – Industry, Audience, Media Language and Representation.

The aims of this Media Studies Factsheet are:
• To provide an introduction to the industrial context of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
• To offer tips on approaches that can be used to analyse the media language choices made in the games production.
• To apply ideas about audience to the game.
