Description

This Sociology Factsheet will look at the existence and use of food banks in the UK. It will examine the growth in the number of food banks and the reason for this growth as well as looking at the who uses food banks and why.

The Factsheet includes Exam Hints to help you to use your knowledge to gain maximum marks, while the Activities give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned and will help you develop your skills in this area.

  • Demonstrating your understanding of the distribution of poverty between different social groups.
  • Evaluating the existence and persistence of poverty within contemporary UK society.
