254. Does Your Postcode Affect Your Life Chances?

Description

This Sociology Factsheet will look at whether your postcode affects your life chances, exploring what life chances are and how postcodes or areas might affect life chances. It also includes theory, research, and case studies. The Factsheet includes Exam Hints to help you to use your knowledge to gain maximum marks, while the activities give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned and will help you develop your skills in this area.

The examiner will expect you to be able to:

  • Demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of the reasons why a postcode or region might affect your life chances.
  • Be confident in incorporating research, theory, contemporary examples, and case studies into your answers.
