281. Cross-cultural Perspectives on Relationships

Description

This Psychology Factsheet provides an overview and critique of cross-cultural perspectives on relationships (CCPR). The Factsheet includes Exam Hints, and the worksheet gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned to exam-style questions. Words in bold are explained in the glossary and there is a reference list at the end.

The examiner will expect you to be able to:

  • Demonstrate that you understand cultural differences in terms of how relationships are viewed and conducted.
  • Demonstrate that you understand the factors influencing attraction, marriage, communication, and rules relating to CCPR.
  • Describe relevant features of CCPR and associated research.
  • Evaluate the research on CCPR, considering the strengths and limitations.
