Description

This Physics Factsheet will use knowledge of the Ideal Gas Laws to:

  • Look at how thermal energy can be used to do work.
  • Look at how work can be turned into thermal energy.
  • Explain the Carnot Cycle for a heat engine.
  • Explain the reverse Carnot Cycle for a heat pump.
