Description

What were the past tropical climates like during the Pleistocene and Holocene period?

This Article describes the past climates during the Pleistocene and Holocene, and which of these were inhabitable by humans. Defines the key physical characteristics that define the climate of the time. Examines the major climate changes of the two epochs. Compiles the evidence of climate change since the last ice age. Explains the desiccation of pluvial lakes during the Holocene. Case studies include the Sahara, including vegetation and megalakes, South and South-East Asia, including loess plains, and Sundaland.
